Some people at HNI say that we should change our uniform, but some say that we should keep it. Both sides have valid arguments for what they believe is right.

The students in favour of changing the uniform say that it is terribly hideous and heavy. The uniform is also extremely expensive and if we wore mufti it would be a whole lot easier for parents. HNI’s jumper is also itchy and uncomfortable, which makes people not want to wear it. The uniform is not warm enough either which makes people awfully cold. Most students at HNI don’t like the colour of the top because it is too light and the yellow looks disgusting.

The other students who are against changing the uniform say that it is formal and unique. HNI’s uniform is a great idea because people can tell what school we are from and if we wore mufti it would all be a bit confusing. Another reason to keep our uniform  would be to save our own everyday clothes. It would also minimize the arguments with parents in the morning about what to wear. The school jumper is also very unique because you can sew badges on to show what goals you have accomplished, because people won't want to sew badges onto their own clothes.

I believe that we should keep the uniform the way it is. Even though people say it is itchy, it is still formal.
